Mac Installation Walkthrough

This video walkthrough by SessionGlance co-founder Alexander Krieg demonstrates how to download and install the SessionGlance Mac application and configure the required permissions.

1. Download the Mac Application

1. Log into your SessionGlance account portal.
2. Select the Download App button.
3. Choose Mac OS as the operating system.
4. The installer file will begin downloading.

2. Install the Application

1. Open your Downloads folder.
2. Drag the SessionGlance application into the Applications folder.
3. Your Mac may request permission to move the application — allow the request.
4. Navigate to the Applications folder.
5. Double-click the SessionGlance app to launch it.

You may optionally create a shortcut on your desktop or dock for easier access.

3. Open and Log Into the Application

1. When prompted, click Open to allow the application to run.
2. Enter your SessionGlance login credentials.
3. The clinician dashboard will load.

4. Grant Required Permissions

SessionGlance requires microphone and screen recording permissions to function properly.

1. When prompted, click Allow for microphone access.
2. You will also be prompted for Screen Recording permission.
3. Open System Settings when prompted.
4. Ensure SessionGlance is enabled under Screen Recording permissions.
5. Confirm the permission change.

The application will prompt you to quit and reopen SessionGlance after granting permissions.

5. Restart the Application

1. Quit the SessionGlance application when prompted.
2. Reopen the application from your Applications folder.
3. Log in again.
4. The application should now be fully operational.

6. Start Recording Sessions

Once the application is running, you can begin using SessionGlance.

1. Navigate to My Account to add a patient.
2. Select the patient within the SessionGlance app.
3. Click Record to begin recording.
4. Click Stop when the session ends.
5. Click Upload to process the recording.

SessionGlance will generate draft documentation and reports after processing.

Microphone Settings on Mac

For Mac users, microphone settings should remain at the default configuration. SessionGlance automatically uses:

• Your clinician device microphone
• System audio for the patient device

No manual audio configuration is required for most setups.
