From the therapy room to the conference floor.
A year of meaningful conversations with clinicians, researchers, and innovators about what happens beyond the therapy hour—and how to make that work more useful for clients and practices.
The most valuable conversations begin with the work clinicians already do.
Psychotherapy extends far beyond the face-to-face appointment. Every visit involves assessment, interpretation, formulation, treatment planning, and feedback. Yet much of that clinical work is difficult to capture in a conventional progress note—or to carry forward between sessions.
This year, we took that challenge on the road. At four conferences across the country, we listened to different clinical communities, demonstrated SessionGlance, and explored how After Visit Summaries, clinician-reviewed documentation, and ongoing assessment can make care more connected.
Four conferences. One continuing conversation.
From relational psychotherapy to research, specialty care, and health technology, each stop brought a different perspective to the same mission: improving how clinical work is understood, documented, and used.
STOP 01
Psychotherapy Networker Symposium
Our year began in Washington, DC, at the Psychotherapy Networker Symposium. We met clinicians who know that meaningful therapy involves far more than a diagnosis, an intervention, and a brief note. The relationship, the evolving formulation, and what a client takes into the week all matter.
Those conversations brought our central question into focus: How can technology preserve clinical thinking, clarify progress, and give clients something useful to revisit after the session?

ADAA 2026: Bringing research into the conversation
In Chicago, we brought the conversation into the research setting. At the Anxiety and Depression Association of America conference, we exhibited SessionGlance and presented early findings on AI-supported, clinician-reviewed feedback in outpatient psychotherapy.
Our poster, “Enhancing the Process: The Efficacy of an AI-Supported Feedback Tool on Therapeutic Outcomes,” described two small, quasi-experimental pilot studies. Results suggested stronger treatment engagement and greater gains in clinician-rated global functioning. Symptom findings were less conclusive, and the designs do not establish causation. For us, the takeaway was clear: promising signals should lead to better questions and more rigorous research.

STOP 03
OCDCon: Listening to a specialized care community
In Seattle, OCDCon brought together specialists, researchers, people with lived experience, and families. It was a powerful reminder that thoughtful clinical care is specific: a generic symptom score cannot tell the whole story of a person's treatment.
Our discussions reinforced a principle that shapes SessionGlance: measurement becomes meaningful when it informs clinical decisions. Useful assessment must stay connected to an individual's symptoms, functioning, treatment goals, and lived context.

STOP 04
Behavioral Health Tech: From product to practice
By September, the conversation had shifted toward implementation. At Behavioral Health Tech in Nashville, we demonstrated SessionGlance in the startup area and spoke about what it takes for technology to fit the pace and demands of actual clinical practice.
Our focus was the complete care process: After Visit Summaries, actionable measurement-based care, longitudinal assessment, secure client feedback, and clinician-reviewed documentation. Generating information is only the beginning. Its value depends on whether it helps clinicians and clients make the next decision.

Across different clinical specialties and settings, three priorities kept coming into focus—and continue to guide how we develop SessionGlance.
Make measurement actionable.
Symptom tracking should inform formulation, treatment planning, and conversations about progress—not exist as a disconnected score.
Keep clinicians in control.
AI-assisted drafts can organize information, but interpretation, medical necessity, treatment decisions, and final documentation belong to clinicians.
Extend care beyond the hour.
Client-facing After Visit Summaries can make session themes, reflection questions, progress, and next steps easier to revisit between visits.
Black Mental Wellness Conference
November 6, 2026 · Silver Spring, Maryland
Our next planned conference stop is the Black Mental Wellness Conference, whose 2026 theme is Healing Across Generations. We are proud to support a gathering that centers Black mental wellness, intergenerational experience, culturally responsive care, and community connection.
As clinicians building for clinicians, we believe better behavioral health tools must remain responsive to the people, communities, and practice realities they are intended to serve.
About the conference ↗
The journey continues beyond the conference floor.
We are grateful to the clinicians, researchers, practice leaders, and advocates who shared their experiences and questions with us this year. Those conversations are helping us refine SessionGlance into something more useful than another AI scribe: a platform built around the ongoing clinical process of psychotherapy.
Comprehensive behavioral health already involves assessment, feedback, and treatment planning. Our work is to make that process easier to document, easier to understand, and more actionable between sessions.
Enhance your practice with SessionGlance.
See how a psychotherapy session can become an actionable After Visit Summary, clinician-reviewed documentation, progress tracking, and an assessment-informed workflow.
SessionGlance produces clinician-reviewed draft outputs. Clinical interpretation, final documentation, billing decisions, scope-of-practice requirements, and payer rules remain the clinician’s responsibility. Conference descriptions and dates reflect event information available as of October 13, 2026. Follow SessionGlance.com for ongoing updates.
