SessionGlance – Installation Guide (macOS)
This guide walks through installing the SessionGlance desktop application on macOS and completing the required initial setup so you can begin recording sessions and generating reports.

Step 1
Log In to the SessionGlance User Portal
- Open a web browser and go to www.sessionglance.com.
- Select User Portal.
- Enter your username and password.
- If prompted, complete two-factor authentication using your authenticator app.
Step 2
Download the macOS Application
- From the left-hand menu, select Download App.
- Choose macOS.
- Wait for the installer file to finish downloading.
Step 3
Install SessionGlance on Your Mac
- Open the downloaded installer file.
- Drag the SessionGlance icon into the Applications folder.
- Wait for the copy process to complete.
- Close the installer window.
- (Optional) Eject the installer disk image.
If SessionGlance does not appear in Applications, repeat the drag-and-drop step and wait until copying completes fully.
Step 4
Open SessionGlance and Sign In
- Open Finder → Applications.
- Launch SessionGlance.
- Enter your SessionGlance username and password.
(Optional) Add SessionGlance to your Dock for faster access.
Step 5
Install a Virtual Audio Driver When Prompted
On first launch, SessionGlance checks whether a compatible virtual audio driver is installed. If none is detected, you will be prompted to install one.
- Select either VB-Audio Cable or BlackHole.
- Approve installation prompts.
- Complete the installation until the driver is fully installed.
Step 6
Configure Audio Devices
- Open Audio MIDI Setup from Launchpad.
- Create a Multi-Output Device.
- Select your virtual audio driver and your speakers.
- (Recommended) Rename the device to SessionGlance Audio.
This allows SessionGlance to capture audio while you continue to hear the session normally.
Finish
Ready to Use SessionGlance
- Select your clinician and patient audio devices.
- Add or refresh your patient list.
- Begin recording when ready.
